Pierced surface with sculpted fruit and flowers. Blue crossed swords mark with crowned mark FA 53, incised 606. Minor breakages to the appliques. H 49.2 cm.

Provenance

Produced as a diplomatic gift for the Saxon King Friedrich August.
By repute, the piece was presented to Emperor Franz-Joseph, who later passed it on to his staff.
