A large Augsburg Régence silver gilt box

Rectangular box with moulded angles, finely engraved with strapwork ornament surrounding applied medallions with depictions of amoretti. The slightly domed lid with corresponding decor, portrait medallions and a relief plaque depicting Venus and Cupid above. H 7; W 21.4; D 14.5 cm, weight 925 g.
Marks of Johann Erhard Heuglin, 1721 - 1725.
