Rectangular box on four pad supports. The slightly domed lid with a continuous frieze of griffons. The lid applied with a relief depiction of Cupid playing a lyre. With original lock and key. H 7.5; W 15; D 10.8 cm, weight 415 g.
Marks of Gottlob Ludwig Howaldt, around 1820.
