An Italian 18k gold enamel diamond and emerald leopard cub clip brooch.

Depicting a young leopard sitting with one paw raised. The structured fur naturalistically picked out in coloured enamel, with the ears and spots in black, the muzzle and tongue red. The tip of the tail and the chest pavé set with 32 8/8-cut diamonds (in total c. 0.64 ct, H/I,vs), the eyes of round faceted chrysoprase. Hinged double pin fastening with safety clasp. Hallmarks: Fineness 750, "Modéle Deposé FC". A minute loss to the enamel of the tongue. H 3.5 cm. L 7.0 cm. Weight 57.38 g.
