An Art Nouveau 18k gold enamel plique-à-jour diamond and ruby tremblant dragonfly brooch.

Designed as a stylised dragonfly with the wings mounted "en tremblant". The body set with 21 old-cut and rose-cut diamonds (in total c. 0.35 ct). The wings picked out in transparent pastel coloured enamel and set with rows of rose-cut diamonds and oval rubies surrounded by five rose-cut diamonds. The eyes set with demandoids. No hallmarks. Small dotted soldered repairs to the mountings. Minor chips to the enamel at the base of the wings. 7.3 x 5.5 cm. Weight 16.08 g.
