A pair of Augsburg silver candlesticks

Round, scalloped bases supporting baluster-form shafts with rich Rococo scrollwork, shellwork and floral decor. The bases engraved with small coats-of-arms beneath princely crowns and monogrammed "CG". The rims engraved with owner's monogram "HJ" and dated 1759. H 21.5 cm, weight 959 g.
Marks of Emanuel Abraham Drentwett, 1757 - 1759.
