A large Jugendstil silver punch bowl

The ring-shaped support for the glass punch bowl on tripod supports decorated with fruit and flowerhead reliefs; domed lid with gilt interior, corresponding decor and an apple finial. The bowl's rim with a minor breakage. H 47 cm, weight of silver 1,520 g.
Bremen, marks of Wilkens & Söhne, 1903. Design attributed to Heinrich Vogeler.

This design is based on the so-called daisy or apple tree pattern by the Worpswede artist Heinrich Vogeler, who provided numerous cutlery designs for the Wilkens manufactory in around 1900.
