A cast bronze relief of David and Goliath, Northern Italy, 1st quarter 16th century

Cast bronze with old patina. This plaque depicts the nude David leaning against a plinth with the severed head and body of Goliath, which is being pulled away by a servant, at his feet. The catalogue by Weinmüller auction house attributes the piece to Moderno.
With minor abrasions. 7 x 5.5 cm.
