A bronze and silver okimono of a pair of cranes and two tortoises. Late 19th century

The cranes inserted at the top of the rock rising high from the waters with two minogame (inserted) climbing about, around the base of the rock billowing waves of silver. Details of the animals of gold, copper and shakudô, the rock partly coated with green lacquer. Signed on the underside with the seal-character mark Oseki sei. Small repair to the beak of one crane.
