A four-case inrô. 2nd half 19th century

Displaying on both sides a withered tree trunk with plum blossom branches, and on one side additionally an omoto plant (Rhodea japonica) with red berries, in gold takamakie, red lacquer, brown sabiji on a sabiji ground imitating russet iron. Signed Onko Chôkan. Chinese fruit kernel carved with Hotei as ojime. Wood netsuke of a folded paper with maple leaves in gold, silver, and red lacquer.
