A Victorian silver 14k gold sapphire and diamond lizard brooch.

Naturalistically rendered model of a lizard encrusted with 22 cushion shaped natural sapphires (presumably Ceylon, in total c. 1.10 ct), 109 rose-cut diamonds and natural rubies for the eyes. No hallmarks. A diamond in the left foot lost. Minor traces of glue to the brooch findings, pin rest with safety clasp replaced in yellow gold. L 8.5 cm. Weight 19.46 g.
