A small Meissen porcelain Augustus Rex vase with Chinoiseries

Ovoid baluster-form vessel on a small moulded basal ring, with flaring neck. Painted on the display side with two adults and a child with parasols in 'contour' Chinoiserie style and a large sprig of finely painted Oriental flowers on the reverse. With two flowering Oriental tendrils to the neck. Blue conjoined AR monogram, dreher's mark diagonal dash. With a yellowed restoration to the neck. H 15.2 cm.
Around 1730, decor attributed to Johann Ehrenfried Stadler.
