Liège and Paris, late 18th C.

Born in Paris, Hubert Sarton (1748 - 1828) learned his trade as a watchmaker in the Le Roy workshop. He then moved to Liège, where he resided until his death at the age of 80. Tardy mentions regulator clocks, pendulum clocks with musical striking and pocket watches with his signature. The gilded bronze case was probably ordered and produced in Paris to fit the movement.
