The Dutch portrait painter Jan Albertsz. Rotius was also called the "Rembrandt of Hoorn", and this also became the title of an exhibition dedicated to him at the Westfries Museum Hoorn in 2016. He is best known for his group portraits depicting marksmen's guilds, which were inspired by corresponding paintings by Bartholomeus van der Helst and Govert Flinck.
