A rare set of three Berlin KPM porcelain "Urbino" vases

Model no. 2057 with snake form handles, fired in three parts and screw-mounted, and model 2070, Urbino vase no. 3, fired in two parts and screw-mounted Blue sceptre mark and round eagle mark, incised IIII and blue sceptre mark, red imperial orn mark, impressed mark F00. The large vase restored at the neck, losses to the handles. H 73.5 and 48 cm.
Around 1870, model by Julius Wilhelm Mantel.

The Triumph of Galathea reproduces Raphael's motif from the Villa Farnesina, which was engraved by Marcantonio Raimondi (around 1475 - 1534) around 1515/16.

The motif of the vase with the four symbols of the Evangelists is based on Raphael's "Vision of Ezekiel" from the Palazzo Pitti in Florence. The second smaller vase shows the motif "Europe on the Bull", possibly based on an unidentified painting.
