A German hand-forged 18k gold wire necklace with a large granulation and black opal pendant brooch.

Necklace designed as a strand of twisted gold wire links with a bombé-form repoussé clasp (20.0 x c. 32.0 mm), decorated with fine surface granulation and symmetrically set with 14 small drilled pearls. Suspending a large bombé-form quatrefoil pendant bezel-set with a large opal with rainbow opalescence, framed by a ring of small cultured pearls strung on wire. With brooch mount on the reverse. Hallmarks: Fineness 750, maker's mark. Necklace L 35 cm. Brooch 3.8 x 4.9 cm. Total weight 77.40 g. Original case with black leather cover.
