An Italian 18k gold silver and diamond choker with faceted sapphires in rainbow colours.

Choker necklace formed from six strands of faceted round rainbow coloured sapphires and emeralds (diameter 4 mm). Connected by an Art Deco-style openwork buckle, with a corresponding rectangular clasp and eight rod shaped elements set with 130 small cognac-coloured brilliant-cut diamonds (ca. 1.95 ct in total). Hallmarks: Italian fineness 750, origin mark (mis-struck). L 37.5 cm. W 2.5 cm. Decorative buckle 3.5 x 2.4 cm.
Late 1980s/early 1990s.
