A fragmentary French carved alabaster Corpus Christi, around 1400

Carved in the round. This finely carved figure of Christ is only preserved in a fragmentary state and is lacking the separately attached arms and the lower part of the body from the navel downwards. The figure was ascribed to the circle of Claus Sluter in the Wilm Collection.
The tip of the nose chipped, the head reattached. Mounted to a plexiglass stand with a screw on the reverse. Height 12.5 cm.
