Oil on card and oil on canvas, laid down on card. 16 x 30 and 15.5 x 29 cm.
Monogrammed and dated lower left and right: Mr. v. Br. 61.

Inscribed by hand in brown ink on an old piece of card backing the picture of the beach: "1861 / gemalt von / Professor Meyer / v Bremen“ and in blue: "Heringsdorf den 19ten August / J’y pense / Schöning“.

Provenance

Auctioned by Neumeister, Munich, 15 March 2006, lot 752 - Galerie Joseph Fach, Frankfurt a.M. - Acquired there in 2008, since then in a private collection in the Rhineland.
