Watercolor, pastel crayons, opaque white and ink (composition ca. 39 x 44 cm) on green Ingres laid paper, laid down on sturdy cardboard 41.1 x 46.4/46.7 cm, framed under glass. Monogrammed M.W. in black pen and ink at lower right. - Mounted onto the frame's protective backing is an older cardboard protective backing, upon which monogrammed and inscribed MW 1 (partially fragmented) in blue pastel crayon at upper left, and with a French shipping label signed and titled Marianne von Werefkin L'Ouvreuse in ink probably by the artist and additionally addressed "Marianna de Werefkine" with black brush. - The older protective backing with the label of a Locarno framing shop.
