Bronze sculpture. Height 12 cm. Mounted onto gray stone base (1.5 x 9 x 3.6 cm). With the monogram RS on cast-with plinth and with the foundry mark "NOACK BERLIN" at the backside edge of plinth. - With blackish brown patina, the stone base somewhat bumped on the edges.
Buhlmann 123 (this exemplar illustrated)
The sculpture "Fohlen" (Foal) was depicted in 1927 in a watercolor by Alexej von Jawlensky together with "Ziegenböckchen" (Little goat, Buhlmann 209), also cast in 1915 (see. ill. in exhib. cat. Berlin 1983-1984, op.cit. as well as in exhib. cat. Düsseldorf 1996, op. cit.).
