A LATE 15TH CENTURY CARVED WOOD FIGURE OF SAINT FLORIAN

Holz, große Reste wohl orig. Fassung, Bottich und Gebäude wohl ergänzt

A late 15th century wood figure of Saint Florian, carved in full round. Large remains of probably original polychromy. Standing full-figure of the Saint in armor, holding as his attribute a barrel with water with which he extinguishes the fire of a burning tower.
The barrel and the building probably added. With wear. Height 84 cm
