Bronze. Height 76.5 cm. Signed 'J.ENSELING' on the plinth and numbered 1/1. Foundry mark 'GUSS SCHMÄKE DÜSSELDORF' to reverse edge of plinth. - With fine gold-brown patina. Very good condition.

The figures of Adam and Eva were made for the supervisory boardroom of the Board of Trustees of the Margarethe Krupp Foundation at the Margarethenhöhe, Essen. Despite the numeration 1/1, 6 exemplars in total are known to exist, along with a number of posthumous casts.
