A high relief group showing the ordination of a Bishop, Antwerp, first quarter 16th century

Carved oak, the reverse flattened. The two flanking background figures are a separately worked older addition.. The sculpture bears the hand-shaped mark of the city of Antwerp to the feet of the seated bishop and to the hat of the left added figure in the background.
The crozier is a replacement. Very minor wear. Mounted to a chamferred wooden socle. Height 46 cm (without socle and additions).
