A provincial Bundi Barahmasa painting. folio no. 3, inscribed pos mahino, the month pausha or posh (December-January) depicting Krishna and a Nayika on the roof top of a palace warming their hands over coals, in the foreground two men warming their hands by an open fire. Ink, colours and a little gold on paper. Small tears to the border. Early 19th century.
