Lower Rhine Region early 16th century

An early 16th century Lower Rhenish carved wooden figure of Saint Clara.

Carved three-quarters in the round, the reverse flattened. Minor remains of former polychromy.. A standing figure of the Saint dressed in a Nun's habit and holding a church model in her left hand.
The right hand lost, the tip of the lower replaced. Mounted to a modern wooden plinth. Height 29 cm (without plinth).
