Katana. Probably 16th century ; Koshirae 19th century

Katana, blade length 66.9 cm, shinogi zukuri, on both sides two bôhi of ca. 18 cm in length, hamon: chôji-midare with nie, hada: mokume. Nakago: ubu, one mekugi-ana, mei: Bishû Osasfune Harumitsu, dated Eishô 3 (1506). Very good state of polish.

Koshirae: Iron sukashi tsuba with bamboo, signed Bushû jû Masanaga, fuchi-kashira: six animals of the zodiac in gold on shakudô-nanako in Gotô-style, menuki: shishi and peonies of gilt copper. Saya: roiro, black binding and same. Including shirasaya, tsunagi and sword bag for shirasaya. 19th century.
