Gouache on ivory in the original gilt capsule frame with blue glass, hairwork and the monogram "JP" to the reverse. An English portrait miniature of a young man. 8.1 x 6.6 cm.
Attributed to Abraham Daniel (born Bath 1806, active in Plymouth, Bath and Bristol), ca. 1800.

The brothers Abraham and Joseph Daniel were both sought-after miniaturists in their home town of Bath and are recorded in literature as the "Daniel of Bath". They rarely signed their works.
