A Chosen Hagi chawan. 18th century

A Chosen Hagi chawan of nearly globular shape, the hard body covered by a thin pale grey glaze overlaid with a pink and a white glaze. Inside five spur marks. Gold lacquer repairs. At the base an old collector's number in white ink. Probably 18th century.
Height 8.3 cm; diameter 11.6 cm
