A 15th century Central Rhenish carved wood Anna Selbdritt group.

Worked in the round, the reverse of the throne flattened, extensive remains of former polychromy. A group designed for a frontal viewpoint depicting Saint Anne enthroned with her daughter Mary seated on her knee and turned towards the Christ Child held in Saint Anne's left hand. The work's composition follows the usual scheme for devotional works of this era.
Saint Anne's left hand and the Christ Child reattached, Maria's left hand lost. Wear throughout. Height 42 cm.
