An early 16th century carved wooden figure of Saint Roch, probably Central Germany

Carved three-quarters in the round, the reverse flattened and hollowed out. Minimal remains of former polychromy.. A standing figure of the saint facing left, dressed in a pilgrim's garb and exposing the plaque pustule on his thigh.
The staff replaced. Wear with losses. The base stabilised with a shallow wooden wedge. Height 77 cm.
