A gilt bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni. Ming dynasty

A gilt bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, seated in meditation (padmasana), the right hand in bhumisparsha mudra, the left hand is held in mudra above the feet. The head and ushnisha are covered by spiky locks of hair, on the chest a swastika, at the soles of the feet the Buddhist wheel of the law and at the garment borders flowers and scrolls in engraving. Ming dynasty. Carved wooden base in shape of a double lotus.
