A polychromed wood figure of the Daoist deity Mazu. 18th/19th century

Seated, the hands covered by a square piece of cloth, the red robes and the collar decorated with dragons and clouds in gold-painted relief, at the garment’s lower border lishui, the crown flattened on top and with nine dragon heads at the front and ornamental band rolling into spirals at both sides. Mounted.
