A rare Meissen porcelain cup with a monkey

The form following a Sèvres design, with original saucer. Depicting a lady monkey with a fishing rod to the cup, and a man smoking a pipe to the saucer. Blue crossed swords mark (to saucer), the underside of the cup unglazed and with puce painter's mark. Rim chips to the saucer. H of cup 7, D of saucer 14 cm.
Mid-18th C.
