A carved wooden figure of Saint Dorothy, probably Central German, 2nd half 15th century

The reverse flattened. With partially overpainted older polychromy. This pierced high relief depicts the crowned saint standing in balanced contrapposto. In her left hand she holds her attribute, a basket of flowers and fruit, and she would have held a martyr's palm in her right (now lacking).
Wear with minor losses, especially to the crown. 61 x 19 x 5 cm.
