A carved ivory tankard with Neptune and Amphitrite

Of slightly tapering oval form, carved with a continuous scene of Neptune and Amphitrite in a shell chariot drawn by horses. The domed lid with a putto finial. Double C-shaped handle with a satyr's head and acanthus leaf thumbrest. Cracks and minor losses. H 29 cm.
Attributed to the Netherlands, late 18th / early 19th C.
