A large German parcel gilt silver-mounted ivory cup and cover

The oval foot and shaft with swags in relief. The cylindrical cuppa issuing from a basket with birds and fruit carved with a depiction of the assembly of the gods. The finial formed as a youth in a toga. H 55.5 cm.
Unidentified assay mark and maker's mark "BM", 2nd half 19th C., the cuppa possibly earlier.
