An ivory tankard with a stag hunt

Solid ivory tankard carved with a continuous scene of hunters on horseback and their dogs against a landscape background. The foot with three large mascarons in scrollwork cartouches. The stepped lid with a putto finial. Carved handle with a faun's head herm and a putto holding a garland of fruit. With older restorations, especially to the group on top. H 38.8 cm.
Attributed to Dieppe, 2nd half 19th C.
