A late 15th century German carved mother-of-pearl pendant with the pietà and Saint Margaret
The reverse of engraved silver with traces of gilding. A carved mother-of-pearl high-relief depiction of a pietà in a silver frame with two hanging loops. The reverse of the pendant backed with a silver plaque of the same period engraved with a half-figure depiction of the crowned Saint Margaret with the dragon as her identifying attribute.
Minor wear and abrasions. Diameter 4.5 cm (with surround).
