A late 15th century carved mother-of-pearl relief with the Adoration of the Magi, probably German

This charming relief depicts a wooded landscape with the crowned Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child on her lap on the right. The three kings are depicted approaching from the left, and at the upper border we see an angel and the heads of the ox and ass.
Minimal wear and soiling. Inset into a wooden frame. Diameter 6.5 cm.
