A large Gothic one-handled mortar

Cast bronze with slightly mottled golden brown patina. With two thick bands of moulding and four vertical ribs on spandrel feet. Old repairs to the top of the handle. H 21.5, D 18.7 cm. Weight c. 8.7 kg. Includes a corresponding pestle.
Attributed to Northern Germany, 15th century.
