A South German one-handled mortar with mascarons

Golden brown cast bronze with natural patina. Of tapering form with a flaring moulded rim. With four vertical ribs terminating in bearded male mascarons at the base. With an angular handle of octagonal section. Some casting faults to the body. H 14.5, D 14.2 cm. Weight c. 2.5 kg.
