A rare Meissen porcelain figure of a seated male pagode

Incense burner with hollow base designed as a Chinese figure seated on an octagonal plinth. He is dressed in an exotic purple robe with feathers and finely painted “indianische blumen” and wears a pointed tricorn hat with a folded brim. Blue crossed swords mark. A retouched chip to the tip of the hat. H 14 cm.
Around 1730 – 35; model attributed to Johann Friedrich Eberlein.
