A Marseille faience table fountain and basin

Comprising a baluster-form water container with sculpted fish and snails to either side and a nereid to the front. With the original lid, bronze tap, corresponding bracket and large shell-shaped basin. Unmarked. A stapled breakage to the rim of the lid. The basin restored. Minor glaze chips. The tap loose. H of water vessel and lid 51.5 cm, with bracket 71.5 cm, width of basin 50.7 cm.
Attributed to Fabrique Savy, around 1765 – 70.
