A Lower Rhenish Anna Selbdritt group, circa 1500

Carved in the round. Minimal remains of former polychromy. A full-length depiction of the standing Saint Anne holding her daughter Mary and the Christ Child in her hands. Mary holds a basket of grapes in Her lap and a small pouch and a rosary hang from Her belt. The nude Christ Child is depicted facing Her and grasping for the grapes which She holds.
The Child's left arm lacking. The Child's right arm, the front of the plinth, and the back left fold of the Virgin's gown replaced. Height 63 cm.
