A 17th century bronze model of Nessus abducting Deianeira, presumably North Italian

Cast in the round and with old patina.. A cast bronze group by a follower of Giambologna, designed to be viewed in the round. The work depicts the centaur Nessus abducting Deianeira, the wife of Herakles, on his back.
The patina with some slight grey mottling. Mounted on a newer marble plinth. Height 23 cm (without plinth).
