A wood and ivory sashi-netsuke of a dried salmon (shiozake). Second half 19th century

Depicting only the head and upper third of the body, tied to a group of five eggs wrapped in a straw bundle. The eggs made of bone, partly visible. The salmon's spine and bones naturalistically represented with bone inlays. Signed Yasutoshi with seal.
