A rare Meissen porcelain tea bowl with a nocturnal scene

Rounded bowl on a short basal ring. Decorated with opulent gold cartouches hung with feathers and draperies containing a detailed depiction of riders and a deer hunt in a Saxon landscape on the front and a rare nocturnal merchant navy scene with a camp fire and full moon on the reverse. The inner rim with a broad gilt lace border, the well with indianische blumen. Blue crossed swords mark, P. in gold, dreher's mark . . for Johann Martin Kittel jr. H 4.5, D 8.1 cm.
Circa 1725 - 28, decor attributed to Christian Friedrich Herold.
