A Meissen porcelain tankard with floral decor

Cylindrical tankard painted with a Chinoiserie garden with chrysanthemum and peony motifs. Blue crossed swords mark with K in the centre, the unglazed base with a later dreher's mark. The silver mountings with an indistinct maker's mark and owner's monogram. H with thumbrest 17.9 cm.
C. 1739 - 40, decor attributed to Johann David Kretzschmar or Peter Kolmberger. Later silver mountings presumably North German or Danish.
