An early Meissen porcelain tea bowl and saucer with merchant navy scenes

Decorated with finely painted merchant scenes in three quatrefoil surrounds. The reserve of the saucer richly decorated with gilt strapwork over purple lustre, iron red and purple feathers. With gilt lace rims. The well of the tea bowl with indianische blumen. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's mark / in the basal ring, gold mark S. D saucer 11.8 cm.
C. 1730 - 35, decor attributed to Johann George Heintze or the workshop of Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt.
